Delete your FilterMyCalls account
Last updated: September 8, 2026
You can permanently delete your FilterMyCalls account and the personal information associated with it at any time. This page explains how to request deletion, what is removed, and what — if anything — we are required to keep.
How to delete your account
Choose whichever is easiest for you:
- In the app (fastest): open Settings → Delete account and confirm. This works in both the mobile app and the web app.
- On the web: sign in at app.filtermycalls.com, go to Settings → Delete account, and confirm.
- By email: if you can't sign in, email support@filtermycalls.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may verify your identity before we proceed.
Before you delete: cancel your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it first, or it keeps renewing after your account is gone. Where you cancel depends on where you bought it:
- Bought in the iPhone app: Apple bills these subscriptions, and only Apple can stop them. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → FilterMyCalls → Cancel. Deleting your FilterMyCalls account does not cancel an Apple subscription, and we cannot cancel it for you.
- Bought on our website: cancel in Plan & Billing in your FilterMyCalls account.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not issue automatic refunds for that period. If you have already deleted your account and are unsure whether billing stopped, email support@filtermycalls.com and we will help you check.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials (password and login sessions).
- Your profile details: name, email address, and phone number.
- Push-notification tokens registered to your devices.
- Your personal call-screening preferences and settings tied to your account.
Once deletion is processed you are signed out on every device and can no longer sign in with that account.
What we keep, and why
We remove or anonymize your personal information except where the law requires us to keep certain records. Specifically:
- Billing and tax records: retained for the period required by applicable financial and tax law, then deleted.
- Security and activity logs: retained for fraud prevention and security, with your identity removed (anonymized) so the entries can no longer be linked to you.
- SMS opt-in records: where you opted in to text messages, a minimal consent record is kept as described in our Privacy Policy, then deleted.
We keep these records only as long as required, and we never sell your personal information.
How long it takes
In-app deletions begin immediately. We complete removal of your personal data from our active systems promptly and within 30 days, and from routine backups on our normal backup-rotation schedule.
