Questions practices ask

Do we keep our existing phone number?

Yes. We provision a new local number for AI handling. You forward your existing main line to it (carrier setting, ~5 min). Patients still see your number on caller-ID; FilterMyCalls answers behind it.

What happens if the AI doesn't understand a caller?

It transfers to whatever human you specify (front desk, on-call provider, after-hours service). Every transfer is logged with the AI's transcript so the human knows exactly what the caller wants before they pick up.

Is the BAA real?

Yes — a Business Associate Agreement under HIPAA, executed at signup for Group + Enterprise tiers. Starter customers can request the BAA separately if their use case requires it.

What's the catch on the 14-day trial?

No catch. Card required so we can switch to paid automatically at day 15 (saves you a step). You can cancel any time in the trial and you're charged $0.

Can we change tiers later?

Yes, up or down, in-app, prorated. Annual prepay locks the discount for the year; if you upgrade mid-year you only pay the difference at the new annual rate.

What does the dedicated onboarding call (Enterprise) cover?

A guided setup call where we map your call types (refills, appointments, billing, after-hours, escalation paths), tune the AI's voice and scripts to your practice's tone, set up custom routing, and run live test calls together.
